Submission Guidelines

The Aftershock Review is a new British magazine, where new voices sit alongside established names in the poetry sphere. The thing that links them is an exploration of the aftershocks of experience.

About submissions

Issue one will be published in Spring 2025, around April. Issue one features the work of Hugo Williams, Suzi Feay, Anna Percy, Pascale Petit and Gwyneth Lewis among other vital new voices. We are also open to new contributors with a small amount of pages available in the first issue. We would appreciate any poets thinking of submitting to first read poems published from the first issue on our Instagram and also pre-order a copy of the magazine. (Please submit poems through this link: https://duotrope.com/duosuma/submit/form.aspx?id=Eioj2Z4-RV8pF-HRijUuw)

Subscriptions

We appreciate subscriptions, as we will depend on these to survive and thrive, though if you don’t subscribe it won't affect your chances of appearing in the magazine. What will is good poetry. That's what matters most. Subscription opportunities will be announced soon.

Costs & Fees

Currently we do not pay for poems published in the magazine, though we do offer contributor copies of the magazine. Poetry submissions are capped at £3 per submission - of up to four poems - but this may increase in time.

Welcome
to the Aftershock Society.
It's time to rebuild.
